Transitions
Moving between activities and settings is one of the most demanding tasks for a nervous system. I help families understand what makes transitions hard for their child and build practical strategies that provide support in these times.

Predictable routines reduce the cognitive and sensory load on children who find daily tasks challenging. I work with families to build routines that are realistic, consistent and achievable, leading to a more regulated and connected household.
I help families understand what is driving dysregulation and outburst behaviours, and work with them to develop responses that de-escalate and prevent these challenges.
Boundaries feel impossible when every "no" triggers dysregulation. I support families to set clear, constant limits their child can understand — limits that actually hold and lead to a reduction in power struggles and improved regulation over time.
I support families to navigate issues arising from: parental preference, sibling rivalry, arrival of a new baby, household changes.
Building and maintaining friendships can be hard for children who process the world differently. I support children and families to develop the skills and strategies that make social connection feel more possible, in a way that is neuro-affirming and honours who a child is at their core.
Outings, appointments, shopping, and community access can be overwhelming for children with complex needs. I support families to build the skills and strategies that enhance community participation.
I work directly with teachers and educators to share strategies, align approaches, and make sure the plan at home is supported in the classroom too. I can attend meetings, observe in the classroom, and provide written summaries for school staff.
I can prepare clear, thorough reports for NDIS plan reviews, funding applications, and clinical purposes. Reports are written in plain language and tailored to the audience, whether that's a plan manager, a school, or a paediatrician.
Having worked in a transdisciplinary model for a decade, I place a strong emphasis on collaboration. I can work closely with the professionals already involved in your child's care, including speech pathologists, psychologists, paediatricians, educators and support coordinators, to make sure the whole team is aligned and working towards shared goals.
